FAQ

Is there a contract?

No, cancel at anytime and your plan will cease at the end of the month.

Can I use my own number?

Yes, you can bring your number across by providing your account details from your current service provider when you activate your SIM. Transferring your existing number takes approximately 3-7 business days.

How long does it take to receive my SIM?

We send your sim card via Australia Post on the day or the next working day of your order. According to Australia Post, it normally takes 2-5 working days depending on your area. Express Post can be arranged upon request for an extra charge of $4.95

What happens when I run out of data?

Unlike many plans on the market which charges excess data @ $10/GB block, E.Tel’s Big Data Plan only charges excess data at a fair rate of $0.01 per MB (billed in KB increments). e.g. If your excess data is 200 MB (0.2GB), it will only cost $2, NOT $10.

To avoid excess usage, try to connect to WiFi wherever it is available and check your usage at www.etel.com.au/account regularly.

Yes, these plans include 20/100/200 FREE call minutes to 70 countries including:

What's the billing cycle and charge?

Our Billing Cycle is from the first day of each month to the last day of each month. Monthly Plan fee is charged in advanced. Your first monthly fee and credit allowances are adjusted on a pro-rata basis depending on the remaining days of the month.

(e.g. If you join on the 25th of June, your first month’s charge, data allowance and allowance for included services is multiplied by 6/30 (6 = remaining days in June, 30 = total days in June).
